Our Story
Our team was founded in 2019 as a university self-organized club. Our goal is to establish a "ballroom dancing team" culture of social and competitive dance at BME, following the model of renowned foreign universities.
Inspiration
In the United States and Western European countries, the university "ballroom dancing team" culture has decades of tradition. The Tíztánc aims to establish this model in Hungary.
Our Mission
We want to provide competitions of a professional standard, but in a friendlier atmosphere, for those who want to compete. Over time, we would like a dance community to develop at a national level between universities, which is why we are constantly seeking connections and opportunities with other university dance teams. Our constant goal, successful year after year, is to create a friendly community in our club where members can develop their dance skills together.
What We Offer
Beginner-friendly Education
Our dances can be learned from a complete beginner level, as a hobby – all without any prior experience or a partner.
Competitions
We want to provide competitions of a professional standard, but in a friendlier atmosphere, for those who want to compete.
Flexibility
We are a university club, and we handle attendance flexibly; of course, for the sake of progress, it is advisable to attend as often as possible, ideally every guided session.
Community
Our constant goal, successful year after year, is to create a friendly community in our club where members can develop their dance skills together.
